But my blog is moving. After some persistent problems with the blog over here, I've given up and decided to make the move over to Wordpress. I've had good luck with their services, and they make it pretty easy to import the twelve years worth of blog posts I've made here (give or take).
So if you'd like to continue following my blog, please head over to http://Dawnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13319784596392058242noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3349545.post-50436072610758930482013-01-28T09:10:00.000-08:002013-01-28T09:10:29.192-08:00Tea Time Feature!
I got a message on Friday that one of my mug cozies was featured on a blog post at Glue and Glitter! I love the other items that she's paired with my mug cozy for this feature--a lovely ceramic mug and a chai kit. So check out the feature, or check out all of my mug and take-out cup cozies!

Yesterday was a day for working on hats while we gamed, as I have two custom hats to make. One of my friends at the game expressed astonishment that I nearly finished both of the hats while we were gaming. I ran out of the yarn I needed for one hat, or I would have finished it. I was just glad that I got through as much as I did, and didn't have too much idle time. Because I love our game, andDawnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13319784596392058242noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3349545.post-79711822185356114242013-01-11T15:39:00.000-08:002013-01-11T15:40:05.318-08:00Beware the wall of text!I should probably post here more often. But since I haven't posted for a few months, here's a recap!
In October, I got to go to New Mexico for work. I went there several years back, and fell in love with the food there, particularly stuffed sopapillas. So I insisted that we go out to a Mexican place one of the nights we were there, and I got my stuffed sopapillas. Om nom nom.

These girls (and a couple of boys) were around 10-12 years old at the time. We still game with a couple of them, who are now in their early 20s, and another of them is our regular catsitter.
Now there's a new batch of kids, belonging to other gamer friends. So on Saturday, he started running StarDawnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13319784596392058242noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3349545.post-11929036096894619432012-06-08T08:00:00.000-07:002012-06-08T08:00:06.587-07:00End of the Work Week Wisdom!Me: "I'm a little surprised it's already a thing...."

Voila! Budget Bytes!
I'm pleased to say that I've made a few things from this site so far, but I am feeling most accomplished after making the ricotta gnocchi. Yes, for real, I made this recipe! I was concerned, because this is basically handmade PASTA!

It's a lovely site, some handmade and some commercial, where brides (and grooms) can find things that they might want to buy for their wedding. It's an awesome place, very different from the normal high rises and towers that you see in most of the Seattle skyline. Because of this, it attracts a wide array of tenants--there are doctors, architects, and lawyers, on some of the other floors.
Our nearest neighbor in the building, however, is a training program for a hair salon. Ow. I'm going to get a tetanus shot today, just in case. (Especially since I can't remember the last time I got one!)
But what's worse than having a gashed open thumb and needing a tetanus shot? The fact that it's going to be a while before I can crochet. :( That puts a small crimp in my star making plans... right afterDawnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13319784596392058242noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3349545.post-77757911371519534522012-04-24T07:47:00.000-07:002012-04-26T14:25:25.167-07:00Now with 100% more substance!I realized that pretty much all I've been posting here is End of the Work Week Wisdom, and while that is entertaining (at least to me), I should really post something of substance.
