Whee... don't mind how long it's been since my last update. :p
We got new computers at work, and for the first time since I started here, we have sound cards. So between the sound card and the T1 line, I can listen to internet radio at work. This, in my humble opinion, is awesome.
Thus far, I've found two "stations" that I like a lot. I have to put "stations" in quotes, though, because one of them isn't really.
The first is Radio Free Abbatoir, which is an on-demand goth station. Basically, there are about 20+ playlists that you can choose from to listen to. For the most part, they're pretty good, though I've discovered I'm not as fond of the playlists that only have songs I've never heard. But they have a lot of Cruxshadows, Type O, and even some Abney Park... so that's very cool! :)
The second is radioio80s. And though it says 80s, they are pretty loose with their definition of the 80s. I've heard a couple of TMBG songs that I'm sure are from the 90s, and they have an odd habit of playing covers of 80s songs... by people like Good Charlotte. But hey, I'm not that much of a purist, and they basically play a lot of stuff that I know and like, and some stuff that I haven't heard, but it ends up being good as well! :)
And yeah, I have a CD player built in as well, so I have a stack of CDs on my desk that Gabe won't miss, and I can throw them in on occasion. The radio stations work better for me, though, because it's a lot more diverse, so I don't get sick of anything.
Anyways, they played "We Are 138" by the Misfits earlier... I don't think many radio stations in the world play that... :)
