Thanks to Jonah's keen eye, I have a new sewing machine. She found the cutest Hello Kitty sewing machines on clearance at the Target by her, so I ran up to Northgate on Saturday to see if they had them too. This link will take you to a picture of Jonah's. :) Mine looks the same. :)
I'm super excited about it because it means that I now have a machine that does zigzag stitch. I am also excited because it also means that I have a machine that can sit on the table that my old machine is built into, which means that if I want to sew, I don't have to rearrange half of the hallway just to get my machine out. It's always out now. :)
So yesterday I used it to finish a skirt and a purse that had been languishing for a while, and also to work on a banner that I've been trying to finish for quite some time... now as soon as I get some more thread and finish it up, I'll have a present for some people (who probably don't read my blog, but that's okay). :)
I can't believe I ran out of thread, though. More specifically, I ran out of brown and tan thread, but I sure thought I had more. Those tiny little spools of old thread that came with my old machine were really really small. :)

I totally saw these sewing machines at Target a few weeks ago...I was completely tempted...but resisted for some unknown reason (aka: b/f behind me saying "do you NEED another sewing machine? ...just asking...") sigh.
See, I had Jerome going "You've been wanting a new sewing machine for a year now. Go buy it!" So that worked out well. :)
ohhh, i don't even know how to sew and i want one. been watching too much project runway i guess...
