Weekend and more

I suspect that any moment now, the big project from Friday is going to rear it's ugly head, so here we go with a quick recap of random things and stuff.

1) "Casino Royale" seems to have some really off pacing, at least to me. I also don't think I like Daniel Craig as James Bond. He just can't do the millionaire playboy thing well at all, though he's got the action hero thing down. Because I'm a girl, though, I like the millionaire playboy thing better. :) Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan were both good at that part. :)

2) I didn't get "The Fountain" at all. Someone care to explain it to me? I will admit that I was busy working on crafty stuff and stuff online at the time, but still. It was weird, and I didn't get it.

3) Speaking of crafty stuff, I have a bunch of new Christmas/winter holiday (non-denominational) cards in my shop, and more to come, including two sets of 8 cards each. One of these sets was quite the undertaking, though Jerome was laughing at me pretty much every step of the way. Let's just say that not everything is to scale on those... :)

The cool thing about the cards is that in almost every case, a good chunk of the decorations on the cards are from magazine clippings and paper scraps. It makes for some really neat designs.

Case in point: the above card is made from a couple of magazine clippings. The blue is a really gorgeous photo of some glass art, and the white is part of an ad, having something to do with a guy in a chef uniform. More here.

4) I'm looking forward to a totally normal, boring week. I have one article to proofread and another to write tonight, but I saved the easiest one for last. After that, I have pretty much the remainder of my week totally free. No crazy running around and doing stuff all week long! In fact, it's looking like I might even be able to take a trip over to the mega-JoAnn's on Saturday... YAY! :)
