Another day in thrilling Port Angeles...

Or something like that. :)

I decided that walking to and from the building where I was researching sounded like a great idea. After all, it's just a few blocks away from my hotel! However, Port Angeles has this REALLY FRICKIN' HUGE bluff, and my hotel is on top of said bluff. The building I needed to go to is below said bluff. So going there was no problem at all. Getting back afterwards, well, those last few steps nearly killed me. And then I had to go up two more flights of steps to get to my room. EEK!

I am sadly out of shape. Yeah, I know... I don't look it. But I get winded WAY too easily when running or climbing lots of stairs. So I'm taking this opportunity to work on that fact. I'm not going to start running like half of the people in Seattle do, because I hate running. But walking and climbing stairs I can deal with. :)

Off to another office to do more research in the morning, and hopefully I can wrap that up on the early side of things, in advance of that whole needing to drive back to Seattle and take the ferry back into downtown. I don't wanna get to downtown anywhere near 5 p.m.!

I love the Olympic Peninsula! Didn't realize you had to travel so much Dawn.

Some months it's more travel than others, but basically since I'm officially a historian now, rather than an editor, I do a LOT more traveling.
