My newest toy :)

Jerome's dad has a tendency to buy himself a new computer, and then end up sending it to us when he realizes it's not what he wants. He bought a new Aspire One, and immediately decided it wasn't for him. So guess who ended up with a new laptop? :)

And yes, this thing is TINY! The top measures about 9 1/2 inches by 6 inches, which makes it about HALF the size of Jerome's Macbook. It also only weighs about 2 pounds, and I swear the power cord weighs more than the laptop itself. So as much as I love my mad scientist machine (my laptop with this decal), I think my traveling computer just got replaced. :)

It is, of course, also getting a decal from Splendid Vinyl, though I had to arrange to only get a partial decal, so that it will fit on the top of my baby. :) I think I'm going to need a new laptop case for it as well, because it's WAY too tiny to go in my usual case, and the sleeve that it came with is handy, but way too snug to easily get it in and out when you're in the security line at the airport. I have some ideas as to what I want for the laptop bag, but I'm trying to figure out the most practical design for me for traveling. Luckily, I know lots of people who are excellent at making adorable bags. :)

And now I have to name it, of course. Right now, I'm leaning towards Blue Jean, like the David Bowie song. But I'm open to suggestions. :)

In other news, I think we're going to try to go see Sonata Arctica and Nightwish tonight. This is, of course, hoping that my sinus headache doesn't decide to return. When it woke me up at 3 this morning, I was thinking I'd finally be calling in sick to work. It was BAD. :( But I'm feeling much better now, so it looks like the concert is on... assuming it doesn't sell out... :)

Oh wow - that is a snazzy looking portable! Guess who now has some laptop envy going on? I purposfully got a teeny tiny ibook a while back - well, tiny at the time - 12"!

Yeah, it's really quite perfect for me! :) Jerome says it's slow, and tiny, and all sorts of things, but you know, for word processing and internet when I'm traveling, it'll be just fine. :)

OMG were you at the show? I didn't see you guys, but that's definitely possible that I missed you since we stayed in the beer garden area.
