Yay three day weekend!

This is fortuitously timed, too, because I started feeling like crap last night, and am not doing too much better now. I'm thinking it's a cold, though, and I've drugged myself up appropriately. But it'll be nice to sit on the couch and watch movies all day, to help me recuperate. Just hoping I get to feeling better before tomorrow, because I do not want to share the plague with assorted friends that I have plans with tomorrow night. :(

Of course, the tricky part of the movie watching is that I have to figure out the PS3... yeah, we went and bought a PS3 last night. It is very shiny and black. :) We got the one that is currently 75% backwards compatible with PS1 and PS2 games, despite the fact that we don't own any of those. But we can find some. :) But since it plays DVDs (and Blu-Ray!), Jerome disconnected the DVD player last night. So I have to figure out how to play DVDs on a PS3. I used to play DVDs on a PS2, so hopefully it's not that much more complicated. And if it is, I guess that's what Google is for. :)

And then, if all else fails, I have Sims 2. :)

Wow...

I actually sat for a while last night and couldn't figure out what to do. I've got a few craft projects that I could have worked on, but most of them involved getting out a whole bunch of stuff, and it was far too close to my bedtime for that. I'm pretty much caught up on some of the other stuff I've been working on. It was an odd feeling, and I actually made myself enjoy it for a few minutes before dragging out something random to work on. :)

I can't help but think that part of the reason I've managed to get so caught up is the fact that I told Jerome to hide my Sims 2 disc. That game is the devil, seriously! So I have no idea where he put it, and I'm not about to go looking for it. :)

Also adding to this happy occurence of being caught up is the fact that I'm off work tomorrow. While most of the day will probably be taken up with things like getting our WA licences and new phone numbers, it also means I have a bit of extra time to craft or do other stuff. I might not know what to do with myself! :)

(How much would you like to bet that I will still get up at 6 a.m. tomorrow? *sigh*)

Wow...

It's been a bit of a busy day at work for me, though it isn't nearly as crazy as it was on Monday. Tomorrow, I suspect it will be back to the normal slowness, as our office manager is back in the office, and I won't be covering for her, as I have been this week. :)

After picking Jerome up from work yesterday, we went home and ended up co-playing the Sims 2 for a while. I did most of the playing, but Jerome helped. :) We made ourselves on there, which is kind of eerie and cute at the same time, and now we're seeing what will happen. The Sim version of me was abducted by aliens last night, and now Jerome wants the Sim version of him to be abducted. Interestingly, if a male Sim gets abducted, they have a 100% chance of coming back pregnant with an alien baby. This is why he wants his Sim-self to be abducted. :)

Of course, this means that I haven't worked on any crafts this week, aside from a couple of little things for our stuffed animals. Yes, I made a cape and a scarf for stuffed animals. I do things like this, because I'm silly. Now, of course, I have to wonder if stuffed animal accessories would sell on Etsy... ;)

And in other totally random news, I'm having a hard time deciding if gingerbread tea is tasty or just weird. The type I got (on sale because it was Christmas tea) is very ginger-flavored, which might be contributing to my current leaning of just weird. I'm willing to give it another chance, though. (I also think this might be one of those teas that is vastly improved by adding milk... too bad I almost never add milk to my tea.)
