Okies, so short version of everything.

1) Jerome's birthday was mostly kewl. Him being sick for part of his birthday wasn't kewl, but other than that, it was okay.
2) Ozzfest rocked. Nuff said. I didn't get too badly sunburned, either.
3) The internet works in my apartment again. *happy dance*
4) I dropped Moxie off at the vet this morning to get spayed. Oi. I bet she's gonna hate me now. Vlad, being the little cutie he is, tried to bust her out of the cat carrier this morning. :)

And that's pretty much about it. Lots of craziness in the works, but it's all in the works at the moment. The parts that I will mention are that I may be starting up a new TT game soonishly, and I may be trying to sell some of my yarn on eBay, because I have WAY too much, and almost never crochet anymore.

I need to make some pillows for Jerome, though, because we moved his TV and all that into his room last night, which means we can lay in his bed and watch movies, but he only has a few small pillows. So he needs more. :) And I told him I'd make something to hold the remotes that he can hang on the headboard, so that they're easy to get at. Maybe with a skull on it. :)

And that's about it. Working on backgrounds for a couple of characters, working, and trying to sleep occasionally. :)

Vacation begins in 25 minutes. *happy dance*

That's really about all I have to say at the moment. Working on getting the last little bits of stuff cleared from my desk. I'll be back on Monday, though it won't be first thing in the morning, as that's when they're scheduled to fix our internet.

So everyone have a good rest of the week, and weekend following it.

Me, I'll be sleeping late, and then rocking out at Ozzfest. *happy dance*

The land of no internet now extends to my apartment as well, at least temporarily. It sometimes pops back on briefly, but mostly, it's not on. This makes Dawn a sad monkey. :(

But I had a good week last week, and just forgot to post. :) And then I had a good weekend. :)

My tattoo has healed up nicely, and while it might need a tiny bit of retouching, I think it's mostly good. My thumb is getting somewhat better, though it looks hideous at the moment. Hurrah for the skin reknitting itself... I know it would be a whole lot better if I could keep it from getting wet for a few days, but I like showering, and sometimes the dishes have to get done.

I'm to the point now of getting really excited about Ozzfest. Due to my extreme paleness, I'm making plans to cover up as much of my skin as possible, so as to avoid being horribly burnt. So I have a long tulle skirt that will basically keep my legs out of the sun, while still allowing any breeze there is to keep me cool. I'm working on altering a silk shirt now, to make it more comfortable and cuter. And again, with that whole covering my arms, but still being cool.

Of course, I need to get the shirt done tonight, because tomorrow after work, I'm heading out to Marion, and will stay there until we leave for St. Louis on Friday. Whee! :) I like mini-vacations! :)

I like real vacations more, and, well, if things pan out, I may be getting one of those this summer too... but I'm still waiting to hear for sure about that... :)

I have returned from the land of no internet.

See, at about 3 p.m. on Friday, my boss asked me if I wanted to take Monday off work. Because it was kinda silly to work Monday, and then not Tuesday. I said of course. I get tons of vacation time every year, and tend to not use much of it. Luckily, it carries over to the next year, so I end up with even more.

But yeah, doing so meant that except for the brief stop at my apartment on Saturday to look stuff up on the internet, and the occasional playing around with Bobert's computer, I was pretty much away from computers for four days straight. This, however, was just fine by me.

Instead, I slept lots, read lots, and watched a handful of movies. And gamed some also. And burned my thumb fairly badly on a sparkler, but it's getting much better already.

I've been actually getting to read quite a bit lately, and that's very nice. I finally finished House of Leaves (after trying to read it for something like 3 1/2 years), and then I managed to read Anansi Boys in less than a week. The former was a tough read. The latter was a pretty easy read, and fun as well. I'm not sure what's next on the agenda, but it will either entail borrowing a book from Jason, or rereading something I already own. Just a matter of when I get a chance to talk to Jason next. Suppose I could call him or something. :)

Anyways, I'm back at work for what amounts to a full week, though there is a weekend in the middle of that. Then I get a 5 day weekend, for Jerome's b-day and Ozzfest! :) Whee! :)

Now, off to pretend like I'm working. :)

How odd... I could have sworn I posted here yesterday... musta forgot in my excitement over new music... :)

So yeah, what I meant to post was: new Muse CD coming out soonishly. Check it out here. Enjoy. Cuz it rocks. :)

In other news, my friend Ashlea reminded me that there is a kewl pattern for skull potholders in the crochet version of Stitch n' Bitch, so I'm making some for the boys' house. They seem easy enough and super spiffy thus far. Hoping to make some serious progress tonight and tomorrow, and then maybe make a set for our apartment... or make something, not sure what yet. The one thing I've discovered is that doing charts in crochet isn't too bad once you actually know how to crochet. I think my first experiment in charts was when I was still a bit clueless... so now that I know what I'm doing, I'm gonna make all kinds of charts! :)

16 days till Ozzfest. Commence squee-ing now! :) I still need to get the last two people who might be going with us to commit to either going or not, figure out who is driving the second car, and warn my mom that the boys and I are invading... potentially, it's five of the boys and myself. That could be craziness. But there's plenty of room at my mom's house, so it won't be too bad... just craziness. :)
