End of the Work Week Wisdom!

That's right, it has returned! But this may be a one time thing, just because I needed to find and post this quote.

This is mainly because I have apparently been misquoting this for a while now. My version was actually kinder to those poor non-evil giraffes. I think Jeremy may be more traumatized if I tell him that the other giraffes will die because he ate the last Dessert Pocky. :)

In case you haven't figured it out? My boyfriend and I are a bit silly. And have lots of Pocky because he went to Uwajimaya on his day off. :)

Me: Who would win in a fight? Red fish or blue fish?
Jerome: Neither, they'd just hang out on opposite sides of a canyon and spy on each other.
Nick: And by some twist of fate, red fish and blue fish will have to join forces to fight the greater good like in the '80's cartoon cliche; i.e. GI Joe and Cobra wamping up on a bigger bad guy. Personally I would be worried about one fish and two fish joining forces. That would have red and blue out numbered.

Well, I mentioned making my crocheted red fish and blue fish the other day. When I got home from work on Wednesday, I was feeling really cruddy. So I basically laid on the couch for a while, which somehow turned into Jerome and I playing "who would win in a fight?" This is a silly game where you come up with two (usually fictional) characters and ask which one would defeat the other. I used to run these on my LJ on a weekly basis, but stopped after a while.

Eventually, I was just being silly, and posed the Red Fish vs. Blue Fish question. Jerome IMMEDIATELY responded with his clever little response (which references Red vs. Blue, in case you don't get it). After I posted it to my LJ, Nick chimed in with his response.

And he's right. Watch out for the team of one fish + two fish...

(I also have to take this moment to express my love of the interwebz. Nick is in Iowa, and yet we can still talk to him, at least virtually speaking. Now if only I could convince the rest of my Carbondale friends to get on LJ more often, it would be like we never left... except for that whole part about us being in a much nicer place now. :) )

Sugar Scrub & Bees

Through a long and convoluted train of thought (as the best ones always are), Jerome and I got on the subject of sugar scrubs and bees again last night. Of course, I don't think I've ever explained the theory of sugar scrubs and bees, at least the way it works in Jerome's mind.

See, Jerome thinks that it's a horrible idea to scrub yourself with sugar, because he is convinced that if you do, the bees will get you. I try to tell him that this theory is invalid, because you would wash all of the sugar off of you before the bees would get a chance to get to you (I'm pretty sure bees won't attack you in the shower, because they don't like water much). He still persists that the bees will get you if you use sugar scrub.

I told him that one of these days, I'm just going to take the risk and buy some sugar scrub. He tells me that he doesn't want the bees to get me. I don't think I can win this one. :)

So yes, the only appropriate End of the Work Week Wisdom is one that I may have used before, but I don't care! :p

Busy morning at work, so no End of the Work Week Wisdom just yet. In fact, I think I'll take suggestions for it, up till around noon or so. And then maybe I'll post something after lunch... :)

1) People throwing chickens at other people.
2) Chicken catapults.
3) Joy Giovanni.
4) Joy Giovanni not being put in a coffin.

All of this brought to you by watching Smackdown for the first time in several months... :)

I would also like to share things that should be wrong, but aren't:

1) Blow stuff up. Blow more stuff up. Blow the living crap out of stuff. Blow the living crap out of stuff some more. Etc.
2) Voicemails that do not contain a single intelligible word, yet still make you laugh for a good five minutes straight.

1. If you could only choose 1 cd to ever listen to again, what would it be? Metropolis 2002, cuz it's the one with the remix of "Until the End of the World," which is the Apoptypgma Berzerk song that I love!

2. If you could only choose 2 movies to watch ever again, what would they be? Interview with the Vampire and Fight Club... though it was really hard to pick only two here!

3. If you could only choose 3 books to read ever again, what would they be? Vampire: the Masquerade, 3rd ed., The Stand by Stephen King, and Lost Souls by Poppy Z. Brite

4. If you could only choose 4 things to eat or drink ever again, what would they be? Water, toasted ravioli, buffalo chicken strips, and ice cream! :)

5. If you could only choose 5 people to ever be/talk/associate/whatever with ever again, who would they be? Ugh, this one is really hard... I'd get sick of most people if I could only talk to them... but there's a few that I could never get sick of... Gabriel and Seth would be on that list... and since this is theoretically ANYONE, let's toss in Neil Gaiman, Wil Wheaton, and... oh, I suppose Megan... :)
