I know I never posted the 2nd post that I previewed at the end of April. That's mostly because at the moment, the plans it covered don't seem to be panning out. That's okay, though, I have plenty of other things to distract me on a regular basis. :)

Mostly, of course, this involves the Sims... which isn't terribly productive, but it is fairly entertaining. Bryan tells me that he has a copy of Sims 2 which I can have, which, of course, means that I'm gonna have to upgrade my video card and RAM... but you don't see me complaining much... ;) My computer needs a bit of an upgrade anyhow, especially as it's like 3 years old... :)

Right. :)

So I guess that's gonna be the next purchase... though I suppose I'll sort poke around and price things and see if it's gonna be just some upgrades, or a whole new computer... cuz I want a flat screen monitor too... :)

I've noticed when I look at my site stats that a lot of people come here looking for Sims skins... sorry, folks, none here... BUT... I can help you out with finding some...

Whether you use LJ or not, check out The Sims LJ Community... on the userinfo page, there are a TON of links... some are to pay sites, but a lot are free sites...

And for my favorite site, check out The Sims Resource... it is a pay site, but if you register, a small portion of the stuff is available for free... and it rotates every three days... so you may not have access to everything, but if you have some time to kill, and don't mind sifting through the pages of free stuff, you can find some good skins... got two of the Misfits from there, and a lot of cute gothy clothes... :)

There are some other good ones, but they don't update all that often... but, if you check out The B List, you can see what's been updated recently... and that makes searching for new things a LOT easier...

Though, honestly, I haven't really been keeping up on downloads lately... since I haven't been playing The Sims much... between watching wrestling, game (and related meetings), and HeroClix, all of my time after work is pretty much eaten up... :)

Why is it that weekends frequently make me near dead?! That's both odd and annoying... :(

Well, let's see here... Saturday, Gabe's nephew and I went through two entire cans of silly string... but it was fun... and I finally got Superstar, which runs on my computer like a dream... Saturday night, went shopping with Cindy and Jea9 before game, and got three new pieces of clothing for just over $9... not bad, really! Then game, which was kewl... got to see Steve, Jenny, Seth, and Jim, who I hadn't seen since March... unfortunately, they didn't have much fun, but it was still good seeing them... and getting my books back from Jim, finally... ;)

Sunday, played around with Superstar, then went to Gabe's parents for dinner... massive quantities of really good food... I even ate fish and LIKED it! After that, got to play with action figures with Gabe's nephew... I have to get used to playing action figures with a 3 year old... I don't know when my guys are supposed to be "dead," or what they're allowed to do... it's a completely different world... :)

Monday, went to Thor and Cindy's to barbeque, drink, and otherwise slack off all day... we played Trivial Pursuit, which I won... though I was being told for most of the game "would you just hurry up and win already?" Not my fault I got 3 pie pieces in one turn, and then couldn't land on another one to save my life! :) They also made the mistake of not giving me an orange question for my final question... hehehe... :)

So then I woke up yesterday, feeling sick, so I stayed home... Gabe got his new video game, so we just sat around and played games most of the day...

Now I'm feeling much better... and it's already Wednesday?! Must remember to do influence tonight!!!!!

Wednesday is a good day... it means the week is halfway over... yay for Wednesday! :)

Nothing much to report... other than if you mix the "Cappucino" and "Milk Chocolate" flavors of Carnation Instant Breakfast, it tastes kinda like a cold mocha... yummy... but so bad for me... which is probably why it's so yummy! :)

The one game that Gabe has bought for his PS2 continues to amuse him... which is good, seeing as he beat it the day after he bought it. I, on the other hand, am avoiding buying The Sims: Superstar, because I'm afraid that some of the hacked objects that I've downloaded won't work with the game, and I'm not sure I want to play without the hacked objects... :) Cuz I'm lazy, and they make the game so much easier... :) Then again, even if I do get rid of the 4 (or so) blatantly hacked objects, I still can't be absolutely sure that some of the lesser hacked objects might not cause problems... so it's no good, cuz I don't want to give up all of my faerie stuff either! Or the countless skins I've got now... *sigh*...

Okay, back to work...

Nope, haven't been posting much lately... nope, no good reason for that... just haven't had a whole lot to say on here... :) Life progresses as usual--work, school (sorta), and game... and computer games in the off time... :)

The Sims Creator is too much fun... I'm thinking I might download some of the backgrounds from Infinite Fish, if it still exists, and use them for patterns for clothes... that would be wild... :) They make good wallpapers and floor tiles as well... :) I have this horrible feeling that maybe I can fill up my hard drive, and not with music, as was one of my original thoughts... :)

Thinking of the computer reminds me that I need to go look at some printers... yes, I have one, but it won't print nicely lately... despite the fact that I've fed it new ink cartridges... it is old, though, so that is probably the problem... either that, or there's a compatibility problem of some sort with the the new computer... probably not, though, since I was having this problem with the laptop as well... *sigh*...

Yup, after wasting the entire evening yesterday playing the Sims, it's time to put the dreaded to-do list on the webpage, so I can have more than just myself nagging me about what should get done.

In no particular order, mind you... ;)

• Another Morgan story. The nice thing about this one is that I can procrastinate it a bit. This story, even moreso than A Moment in Time, is going to be able actual game events, rather than just stuff that Morgan did at some indeterminate point in the past. As such, I have to wait on some information from the STs before I can write much more than the first page or two... most of which is already started! :)
  
• Garou story number 1. This one is going to be along the lines of Christian's story, in that it will be a Galliard telling a tale that they know. In Christian's case, it was first hand knowledge. In the new story, it will be a story that has been passed down for nearly 100 years. This is my safety valve, because I'm pretty sure I'm not going to get all of the historical facts and figures straight. ;) Despite all of the research I've done, I can't find anything on the internet or in books about what I want to write about. As a side note, if anyone reading this knows anything about the "Baby Pavilion" at the 1904 World's Fair, E-mail me! From everything I've been able to determine thus far, it's a pretty obscure topic!
  
• Garou story number 2. The Old Man has been working on his background for Fury of the Forsaken, and it's based largely on a long-running Garou chronicle that the two of us played in. My character in that game led a VERY interesting life (in the way that "May you lead an interesting life" is a Chinese curse), and I've often thought about writing something about her. Seems like a good idea, now that I'm using her as an NPC Mentor to one of the characters in Fury...
  
• Garou story number 3. I'd also like to write something for the Fury of the Forsaken page. A while back, a bunch of us players wrote a whole bunch of stuff for the Broken Sword of Caine page, and Macke mentioned that it would be kewl to have something similar on the Fury page. Well, I'm an ST in Fury now, but that doesn't mean I can't write for the page! :) I'm looking for ideas for this one, at the moment, but it will probably end up being another Galliard-style story. Those seem to work very well as far as Garou fiction goes!
  
• Work on The Beyond, which is my currently active Changeling-esque chronicle. I have most of the groundwork laid, and I know where the game is going. I just need to work on creating that final destination. I have some time for this, as the destination is still a while down the road (IC and OOC), but it would be good to get started on it sooner rather than later!
  
• A Ravnos poem. An anonymous person wrote Clan Brujah for me to post on the Forgotten website. I had encouraged all of the players to do stuff like this a while back, whether it be poetry, song/movie quotes, or whatever, so that we could personalize the clan pages, making them more than just a place to list the active characters. Seeing as I'm the only Ravnos in that game, and the webmistress, I suppose leading by example would be a good thing to do... ;) Luckily, this should be fun and quick to get done!
  
• There is probably more to add here, but most of it has to do with work on chronicles that are only ideas at the moment, or potential backgrounds for characters that I may or may not eventually play. So in other words, even the to-do list isn't done!

Oh, and continuing in my trend of wishing people who don't read my webpage happy birthday, today's wishes go out to Timmy and Jessi. Hope you both have a good one! :)

So I got the Sims Vacation the other day, only to realize that my computer was sadly lacking in RAM. But I managed to figure out how to remedy that situation (it's trickier with a laptop, if you've never done it before), and now my computer goes FAST. The problem in all of this is that now that the Sims moves at a decent clip, I'm far more interested in playing it than getting things done.

I'm coming very close to posting my "to do" list here, and then telling the world when I actually accomplish something. The benefit I could see in doing this is that maybe then some of my loyal readers (I think I have some of those!) will get on my case about what I should be doing with my free time. Unfortunately, I can't really think much beyond the stories that I want to write, and the need to work on The Beyond at the moment. I'm doing decently well with developing The Beyond mostly on the fly, at least for the time being. I will eventually need to work on some more of that, however, because things aren't going to stay the same forever... >:)

Other than that, I'm going to get to see The Scorpion King this weekend! I know I wasn't the only one who was disappointed by The Rock's performance in The Mummy Returns, but from everything I've seen of the new previews, it looks like he's done much better with this one. So for now, I will blame his approximately 5 minutes of screen time in The Mummy Returns, which is far too small to get an accurate assessment of his acting talent.

I hate being sick... cuz not only does that mean that I'm miserable for a day or more, it also means that I get totally behind on everything else I want to get done... *sigh*... hopefully now that I'm feeling better I can get caught up though...

I saw Queen of the Damned on Saturday night, and I kinda enjoyed it. It's definitely not the best movie I've ever seen (we watched that later... *grin*), but it wasn't nearly as bad as I was anticipating it to be. And Stuart Townsend is a HOTTIE! My only real complaints had to do with the makeup (all the vampires with silver eyeshadow on the interior corners of their eyes) and the pacing (was it just me, or did it seem off somehow?).

Also on Saturday, some of us took the Werewolf Tribe Test (click on Quizzes to get there)... well, I turned up Fianna (go me!), Ashlea was a Black Fury (though we don't agree with that), Timmy was a Glass Walker (much to his chagrin), and Colin was either a Fianna or a "Red Child of Fangs"... or something like that... he scored equally on Red Talons, Children of Gaia, and Silver Fangs... talk about a weird one... ;)

Other than that, I've been spending way too much time playing The Sims again... might have to reinstall Hot Date so that I will get fed up with the game and quit playing, once again... ;)
